The Uptown Learning Center (day care, early intervention, and family service
coordination) is also operational with the day care section scheduled to
reopen on 10/31. Project HELP (respite, personal care, and supported living
services) is also operating an office from the Uptown facility as well as
maintaining an office in Baton Rouge.

THE SALVATION ARMY
All disaster relief and recovery services
programming is coordinated out of
the Adult Rehabilitation Center located
at 100 Jefferson Highway in Jefferson
Parish. On Thursday, 10/20/05 the
Salvation Army will open a fixed feeding
site at 5290 Canal Blvd. in collaboration
with the Louisiana Southern Baptist
Convention Disaster Relief operation.
Services provided will include drive
through feeding (lunch) for all residents,
cleaning kits, and emotional and spiritual
care. The Salvation Army Disaster
Relief Center, located at 1921 Airline
Highway in LaPlace, continues to provide
disaster relief assistance to all residents
in the greater New Orleans area.
Services provided include drive through
feeding, debit cards and vouchers
for food and furniture.
